Vaporesso usually puts out top-notch vaping devices. It’s a popular brand and when we hear their name, expectations are rather high. That’s why the initial release of the first generation Drizzle kit was sort of a letdown for many vapers. Released in 2017, the original Drizzle kit received less than positive reviews. However, it looks like Vaporesso wanted to give the Drizzle another go by releasing an upgraded version, the Vaporesso Drizzle Fit Starter Kit. I had my qualms about this one, but for what it is, the Drizzle Fit is a good option for beginning vapers who’ve quit cigarettes.
The Build and Design of the Vaporesso Drizzle Fit Starter Kit
The Drizzle Fit does have a lot going for it in terms of the size. If you’re looking for compact and lightweight, this kit really delivers. The weight of the Drizzle Fit is ridiculously light at about 65 grams, which comes to under 2.5 ounces. Easy to carry? You bet!
The mod and tank combo is well crafted, even with the compact size. It’s available in eight color combinations: Black, Red, Gold, Silver, Rainbow, Blue and Red, and two Black splatter options of Black and Green or Black and Red. The Drizzle Fit sub-ohm tank looks pretty standard, but the design suits the mod well.
What You Get in the Vaporesso Drizzle Fit Starter Kit:
- Vaporesso Drizzle Fit mod
- Drizzle tank
- 1.3ohm EUC Mini CCELL coil
- 1.4ohm EUC Mini Traditional coil
- Replacement glass tube
- USB charging cable
Looking for Something Easy to Use? The Drizzle Fit is Painless to Operate
Ease of use was clearly on the minds of the Vaporesso manufacturers here when they designed the Drizzle Fit kit. The device uses a 1400mAh internal battery, which you charge through the USB port. It charges up fairly quick with 1A quick charging (expect about 1.2 hours to charge it fully). There is a single firing button and no need for a display screen. Simply click the firing button five times to turn the mod on and you’re good to go.
Vaporesso also totes this kit to be perfect for both MTL and DTL vaping, depending on your preference.
What the OMNI Board Mini Chipset Adds to the Kit
Vaporesso is known for their intuitive OMNI Board chipsets. They used the OMNI Board Mini in the Vaporesso Drizzle Fit mod. The pros of this? A quick firing response and smart optimal wattage selection based on your coil resistance.
This kit, however, is not for a vaper looking for a ton of vaping modes. The Drizzle Fit only allows of wattage mode in three settings: High, Medium, and Low. Although the Drizzle Fit is said to be capable of up to a 40W output of power, the standard settings are approximately 10W on High (LED light will be green), 8.4W on Medium (LED light is blue), and 7W on Low (indicated by a red LED light). The LED light is integrated into the firing button. Despite these different power settings, the OMNI Board Mini selects your optimal wattage for you, so there is no way to select your power setting yourself. This may be a downside for some of you who like to be in control of your vaping experience.
The Drizzle Fit Sub-Ohm Tank
As with any starter kit, the mod isn’t the only thing that needs to be considered when looking to purchase. The Drizzle Fit tank is good, but not great. You get a 1.8ml juice capacity, top adjustable airflow (great for leak prevention), and a top fill system access by unscrewing the top cap. The coils used with the Drizzle Fit tank are from the Mini EUC Coil family. The kit contains a Mini 1.3-ohm EUC CCELL coil and a Mini 1.4-ohm EUC traditional coil.
The EUC Coils: Vaping Performance
While I would like to go on and on about how great the two coil options for the Drizzle Fit are, I have to say that they aren’t up to many industry standards are far as flavor performance. I gave these coils a good amount of testing. They are great with high viscosity juices, which means nicotine salts and high VG juices perform well with these coils. At the low power output of the Drizzle Fit mod, you can’t expect a ton of cloud production. The throat hit from these coils, especially with higher nicotine juices, is spot on. However, the flavor is rather muted. I tried a few different juices and was not able to come away impressed with the flavor from the EUC coils. The coil lifespan is about two weeks, which is becoming more standard as vaping technology gets better.
The Vaporesso Drizzle Fit Starter Kit is Probably Best for Beginning Vapers
Do I suggest rushing out and purchasing the Vaporesso Drizzle Fit Starter Kit? If you’re an experienced vaper, probably not. The lack of features will probably drive you crazy. However, despite my own reservations with the Vaporesso Drizzle Fit Starter Kit, there are a lot of pros for new vapers. No need to worry about batteries, menus, and confusing vaping modes. The top fill and airflow both function seamlessly. The charge lasts about a day if you are a moderate vaper. Heavy vapers, be prepared to charge mid-day. Although the Drizzle Fit can be used for DTL vaping, it functions best as an MTL vaping device. If you’re just quitting cigarettes and looking for a starter kit, don’t rule the Drizzle Fit out! It does perform well for what it is.
