Find the comforts of home in this tantalizing combination of creamy rice pudding and berry jam. It’s a dessert vape with an extremely low sugar level — now that’s hard to find!

First Impressions

I totally dig the branding used by the Vape Dinner Lady line-up. They’ve strayed away from the re-purposed cartoon characters often used with bottles of hype juice, and let the liquid do the talking instead. With that being said, I did not know what to expect from a rice pudding flavor going into this review. Needless to say, I was a bit worried.

Flavor Profile

Rice Pudding With Jam e-liquid is cooked to perfection. Velvety, sweet, and creamy rice pudding with a tasty dollop of raspberry jam stirred through the finish.

This one had an interesting aroma, not in a bad way, but it was a bit odd. I noted a certain bread characteristic upfront with a hint of raspberry jam hiding in the background. I noticed a bit of chalkiness as well. And that was literally all I was able to pick up.

My Setup

Single Fused Clapton (from saddlehorseblues, of course…) on the deck of the twisted messes rda, pulsed on the trusty old Lavabox DNA 200 at 45-50w.

I choose this lower wattage, single coil setup for a very specific reason. After smelling the liquid and not being able to pick up on a whole lot, I knew tasting the individual characteristics of Rice Pudding would be a challenge.

Front – Slight notes of homemade rice pudding right off the bat. There’s some fruity sweetness intertwined between the bread notes and cream, but it’s rather hard to pick up on. I wouldn’t call it raspberry, but more of a berry blend.

Middle – The berry notes grow in potency a bit, and I am finally able to call the flavor raspberry. The notes of rice pudding remain, and a hint of vanilla is present as well. There may be some nutmeg in the picture, but I’m unable to tell for sure. The combination sounds a bit weird, but grows on you after awhile.

End – I received the most rice pudding flavors on the finish. There’s a perfect level of sweetness associated with the raspberries, a complete absence of tartness, and full on notes of pudding with a hint of vanilla and nutmeg. Literally the only thing missing for me was a spoon. Vape Dinner Lady even nailed the slightly velvety mouthfeel associated with homemade puddings.

Aftertaste – Very good. I tested another bottle of 3mg, that did have a noticeable throat hit. But due to the absence of sugar, the aftertaste of this liquid was 100% clean.

Cloud Production:

For a 70/30 blend vaped on a single coil build you’re not really expecting much. The cloud production was just decent enough to satisfy my needs.

Final Thoughts

Rice Pudding by Vape Dinner Lady was a bit to weird for me to consider it as an ADV. This flavor would be best enjoyed on a special occasion. The retail price of $24.99 seems a bit high for such an odd flavor. I’d consider purchasing another bottle at $16-$18, but for $20+ it’s simple not worth having a Rice Pudding in my flavor arsenal.
