good or bad soupwire emblem

Bad Drip Labs spends a lot of effort on their packaging, which is either a win or a loss depending on the person. I love their gimmicky look, though. I came across this e-liquid online and was intrigued with the blend of flavors. It’s a carnival-inspired dessert juice. I picked up a bottle of Ugly Butter E-Liquid by Bad Drip Labs for the purpose of this review. Let’s dive in to see if this is truly a carnival worthy treat.

Packaging and Branding

Bad Drip Labs packs their e-liquids inside of a fake prescription pill bottle. I know, it’s a bit odd and might turn some people off, but I think most of us will find it amusing. They’ve got their Bad Drip logo on the top of the bottle label and the rest of the needed details, as well as a break down of the flavor notes. The outside says cinna-sugar, fried dough, and banana.

Inside the pill bottle is the glass dripper bottle, with more of the same look to the label and the name of the flavor.

The Smell

When you open the bottle, you get hints of cinnamon and a doughy dessert pastry—I believe this is a churro blend. You can also smell some banana hints. I don’t want to be skeptical about banana, but it’s always a flavor that’s a hit or miss for me. So I’m hoping it doesn’t have that artificial taste.

The Flavor of Ugly Butter E-Liquid by Bad Drip Labs

Their website is just as quirky as their packaging. Bad Drip Labs’ writes in the description: “They don’t call it ugly for nothing…Uncle Freddy’s famous fried dough showered with carnival cultivated cinnamon-sugar.” They don’t mention much about banana in the site description. But there is supposed to be a banana pudding as a filling to this pastry.

Vaping Ugly Butter E-Liquid by Bad Drip Labs

I vaped this with the Augvape Skynet Sub-Ohm Tank and the SnowWolf XFeng Box Mod.

It doesn’t happen to me too often, but from the first hit, I was hooked. The inhale is sugary cinnamon, I can taste the banana hanging in the middle, but it’s very, very light. I can tell that it’s banana pudding because the taste is way more subdued than a usual banana juice. The exhale is a buttery fried dough.

I was worried about the banana tasting artificial, but it certainly doesn’t. You get a creamy, light banana. The cinnamon is the prominent flavor in this e-liquid, which I love, but if you don’t enjoy strong cinnamon, this could quickly overpower your palate. The finish with that fried pastry is the perfect end to this combination. You’re left with a light aftertaste of cinnamon and sugar coated dough. Although this is nice at just about any wattage, I felt that the flavors really came out best at 60W. Past 100W and that cinnamon is a little rough on the throat.

Cloud Production

Ugly Butter E-Liquid by Bad Drip Labs is a 75/25 VG/PG blend. It vapes smooth and does give you some luscious clouds. Vaping this at 90W will certainly show some thick vapor. But this isn’t going to be anything for the record books.

Want Carnival Sweets All Day? Ugly Butter E-Liquid Brings the Carnival to You

While I know this juice may not be a favorite for everyone, especially those who don’t prefer strong cinnamon, I could easily vape this all day. It’s sweet and rich, but it’s balanced a bit with the cinnamon and the light custard. If you want a stronger banana flavor, this isn’t your juice. It’s more of an afterthought flavor in here, though well-balanced.

Ugly Butter E-Liquid is smooth and a bit on the spicy side at high wattages thanks to the cinnamon. If you’re looking for a churro-inspired flavor or carnival dessert juices, I don’t think you can go wrong here.
