Let me begin by saying that Smok makes some genuinely great products. I, myself, have owned a few of them. A Smok AL85 Alien Mini, a Smok Procolor 225W TC, and now the Smok G-Priv2. Smok’s box mods are reliable, sturdy, and perfect for both novice and intermediate vapers. Even advanced vapers don’t shy away from Smok’s products. In any case, the Smok G-Priv 2 230W TC is a great addition to your vape collection.
The Smok G-Priv 2 is a slim-bodied device with a beautifully interfaced OLED touchscreen. The G-Priv2 Mod is crafted out of zinc alloy. Fairly light-weight at 181g, or less than half a pound, this mod is a powerhouse with a range of 1-230 watts and a temperature range of 200-600 Fahrenheit. The Smok G-Priv 2 230W TC packs a punch. With increased power and a touchscreen that’s the envy of other mods, the G-Priv 2 is a must-have.
Unboxing: What is Inside the Smok G-Priv 2 230W TC Kit?
The Smok G-Priv 2 230W TC Kit comes with everything you need to get started: The G-Priv 2 Mod, the Smok TFV8 X-Baby Tank, two coils (the V8 X-Baby Q2 and T6), a replacement glass, a USB cable, and a user’s manual.
What’s so Great About the G-Priv 2 Mod?
The Smok G-Priv 2 mod is a leader in the OLED touch screen department. The display is brighter and the interface is far more intuitive than Smok’s older models. The fantastic thing about this mod is not only how easy it is for beginners to pick up and go, but also the options available to intermediate and advanced vapers. The Smok G-Priv2 230W TC’s interface allows you to access VW/TC Mode, Voltage, Battery Life, Resistance Value, Vaping Effect, and of course, the OLED screen display options.
The mod also simplifies the locking/unlocking mechanism. This usually requires about five presses of a firing key on older vape mods, but the Smok G-Priv has made it easier, cutting it down to three presses to lock your screen and prevent auto-firing.
And for those of you custom-lovers out there, Smok offers this kit in seven color combinations: Black/Red, Gold/Black, Blue/Black, Silver/Black, Seven color rainbow effect, Purple/Black, and Red/Black.
Smok’s TFV8 X-Baby Tank
The TFV8 X-Baby tank is a great asset to this mod. Smok designed this tank with a top airflow! Say goodbye to frequent leaks from bottom airflow systems and say hello to a smooth vaping experience. Equipped with Smok’s convenient top fill, the TFV8 X-Baby tank opens and closes easily, allowing for a quick and easy refill of e-juice.
The new UI and improved OLED display on the Smok G-Priv2 230W TC give us an idea of what we can expect from this product. And trust me, it doesn’t disappoint. The TFV8 X-Baby tank is a huge improvement over older Smok products with the new top airflow. The tank holds 4ml of juice, which isn’t too shabby. And when it comes to the kit’s coils, both the 0.4ohm X-Baby Q2 and the 0.2ohm X-Baby T6 are sufficiently impressive in both flavor and cloud production.
There are also a ton of safety features to keep you vaping safe, such as low voltage protection, short circuit protection, low resistance protection, and overheating protection. Size does matter for some, though! Although this mod is fairly portable, it may still be a bit too bulky if you’re looking for something ultra-compact. But if you’re searching for a state-of-the-art box mod, look no further. The Smok G-Priv2 230W TC is one of the best box mods that Smok has produced to date.
