Sigelei releases so many products, that sometimes I just feel like it’s either a big hit or a complete miss. Then again, I could say that about a lot of vape brands. With the rush to produce multiple kits that fit the variety of vapers out there, along with the pressure to come out with the latest and greatest in vaping tech, things can just get a bit out of hand, and every once and a while there is something that comes out that’s pretty awful. Luckily, the Sigelei KAOS Vapsoon 208W TC Starter Kit is one of those really great kits that deserves all the hype it gets.

The Design

Looking at the Sigelei KAOS Vapsoon 208W TC Starter Kit, it doesn’t look all that different from many other kits on the market. And the design, for the most part, really is a standard design. Except for one specific item: the buttons. Really, the only button on this device is the recessed firing button. Instead of adjustment buttons, Sigelei opted to include a rotating wheel. This functions like selection buttons, with set click points on the wheel. While it may take a little time to get used to, it functions just fine.

On the front face of the mod, you’ll see the wheel, with the recessed firing button in the center of it. Below that is the 1.3-inch OLED display screen, and then the micro-USB port. The battery door is located on the bottom of the mod with a hinge system. Another notable design feature? The genuine leather side grips.

It’s available in five colors: gunmetal, white, red, blue, and orange.

The Build

The chassis of the Sigelei KAOS Vapsoon mod is crafted out of zinc alloy. The corresponding tank, the Sigelei KAOS 120, is made from stainless steel with a Pyrex glass. The feeling of the mod is altogether comfortable, even with the odd addition of the rotating wheel. In my mind, Sigelei was attempting to streamline the menu system and selections so that you don’t have to move your hand as much. Once you get a feel for it, you can make selections very easily.

Vaping Modes: The Sigelei KAOS Vapsoon 208W TC Starter Kit Ramps Up Fast!

This kit allows for two vaping modes: Power Mode and TC Mode. TC Mode allows for Ni, Ti, and various SS materials. Most notably, I was very impressed with the ramp-up time of the Sigelei KAOS Vapsoon kit. It’s got a fast chipset and a great preheat function that’ll get your coil ready to chuck out nice clouds and pure flavor. Firing time is fast and accurate, and I noticed no lag whatsoever in my time spent with this kit.

The Sigelei KAOS 120 Sub-Ohm Tank

The tank that comes with this kit is the Sigelei KAOS 120 Sub-Ohm Tank. I’ve got mostly good things to say about it, and though I wouldn’t tote this as the best tank I’ve ever tried, it’s a good compliment for the KAOS Vapsoon mod and serves the purpose well.  It’s a 24mm tank with a 5.5ml juice capacity. The top fill is a threaded top fill system. Just unscrew the hybrid drip tip/top cap to access the fill port.

The KAOS 120 also has a knurled design on the bottom base and a dual adjustable bottom airflow that is smooth and fully closable. Overall, the crafting on the tank is good. And a plus? It’s compatible with the complete Sigelei MS Coil system, which means if you have a Sigelei Moonshot 120 the coils are compatible. Even if you don’t, it’s a nice coil system to have in hand, and they suit the KAOS 120 nicely.

The MS Coil System

The MS coils use organic cotton wicking and provide a clean flavor quality. The kit includes the 0.2-ohm MS-H Coil (60-120W) and 0.25-ohm MS Coil (40-80W). The MS-H Coil produces some pretty average clouds and flavor, but the MS Coil gives a bolder flavor quality.

There is also a Sigelei 0.2-ohm MS-M Mesh Coil that is available for purchase separately, and for a nice balance of clouds and flavor, these are sort of a must addition to this tank if you aren’t against seeking those out separately.

Vaping with the Sigelei KAOS Vapsoon 208W TC Starter Kit

Although I can’t say this is one of the top kits out there, I can say that I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience testing out the Sigelei KAOS Vapsoon 208W TC Starter Kit. I had tried the MS Coil series when I reviewed the Sigelei Moonshot 120 tank, so I sort of knew what to expect in that realm. I picked up an MS-M Mesh coil to try out for this kit as well. The MS coils are really solid. I got some really bold flavor out of it, and the coil lasted for a good week and a half. The MS-M Mesh coil is just as good. Unfortunately, I’m not as much of a fan of the MS-H coil included in the kit, but it isn’t a bad coil.

The mod itself functions really well. In TC mode I was pretty shocked at how well. Some kits just aren’t made for TC even though they say they are, but the TC experience with the KAOS Vapsoon is painless, easy, and enjoyable. But the Tigon kit works so well for an MTL vape that I almost forgot.

The Vapsoon does fire up to that 208W mark, though I’m not really sure why Sigelei chose 208W instead of rounding to 200. Nonetheless, this little kit has some power behind it, and it performs well.

Worth The Price? Yeah, and Then Some

The Sigelei KAOS Vapsoon 208W TC Starter Kit is all-around a solid performer. The only negative comment I can think of is the battery door being a bit loose after use. While I wouldn’t set out to buy the Sigelei KAOS 120 tank by itself, it’s a nice pairing with the kit. The flavor from the MS coils, in general, is above average, even if the vapor production is just sitting at that average level.

If you aren’t a fan of the idea of a rotating wheel instead of adjustment buttons, then you may not want the kit just for that fact. However, I think it functions well, and though it’s a bit unconventional compared to industry standard, it does the job without issue.

For the price, the Sigelei KAOS Vapsoon 208W TC Starter Kit is a mid-priced option, but you get a reliable, fast-firing vape kit that’s a top-notch TC performer.
