Slightly sweet lemon curd filling combine with a thick cake-y bakery crust in this tasty version of the classic lemon bar. If you’ve been looking for a flavor to mix things up a bit, Yellow Dream from Om Vapors may be the one for you!

First Impressions:

The branding Om Vapors uses is really quite nice. They use the same general graphic design on all their e-liquid lines, with some minor variations, that works to keep everything consistent throughout. Everything from the large white Om logo, to e-juice names and the colorful background images work to give their bottles a bit of character. You won’t find any cartoon characters or vulgar wording here, and they’re definitely not needed! This just goes to show that a little extra work put in on label design can pay off in a big way.

Flavor Profile:

Om Vapors’ take on homemade lemon bars. Bakery lemon flavor that is slightly tart, lemon-infused custard piped into a cake-y pie crust.

Smell:

I picked up on the pie crust immediately. It’s does have a small amount of liquid butter, but smells more of yellow cake or a sweetened dessert bread. Signs of custard, lemon juice, and lemon peel perfumes in the foreground.

My Setup:

24mm Loop V1.5 BF RDA from GeekVape loaded with a set of claptons (.22ohms), pulsed on the Lavabox DNA 200 device from Volcano E-cigs. I started with the airflow wide open, and ended up shutting it down almost 75% about half way through the review.

Flavor:

Front – Similar to the aroma, I found crust flavors first. The pie shell is dense like a homemade chewy pastry shell for a traditional fruit bar, and has a bit of liquid buttered drizzled on top for good measure. The lemon flavor is more of a sweetened lemon curd than a filling made with lemon juice. Custard serves as more of a flavor carrier at this point, and has not fully developed .

Middle -Notes of lemon come through with a bit more potency here. The slightly sweetened bakery version is very upfront, and has combined with an aromatic lemon peel custard that has some mild acidity. I also picked up on notes of a chalky powdered sugar.

End – Yellow Dream finishes strong with a full on lemon bar. Everything from the lemons (bakery|peel), to the fresh custard made with lemon juice, it’s all there. The moist crust is the first flavor to fade, and the sweetened lemon disappears shortly after that. My palate is left with a bit of the chalky powdered sugar that does not linger.

Aftertaste – Normally, lemon bars are loaded with powdered sugar. And although I’d classify Yellow Dream as a dessert vape, it does not have the high amount of sugar one would associate with lemon bars. No lingering at all!

Cloud Production:

I actually prefer the 75/25 blend used by Om Vapors over the industry standard 70/30. The little extra bit of VG help create some dense clouds, and managed to maintain a great flavor. My dual coil build was filling a large room with white vapor in a hurry!

Recommendable? Yes. If you can appreciate a good lemon vape that is…because let’s face it, they’re not always the easiest flavor to pull off.

ADV? Yes. I often look for different liquids to switch things up a bit. Yellow Dream does exactly that! I could vape it all day long without problem.
