I came across Taboo E-Liquids as a fluke, really. It wasn’t a brand on my radar, even though the Taboo line from Skydrip LLC has been getting some pretty good reviews. I like to start looking for juices at my local vape shops, just to get an idea of what’s popular in my locale. However, the next place I go is online. I started seeing Taboo on a few sites and then decided to give one of their flavors a go. The packaging for Phantom by Taboo E-liquid really sold me, along with the promised red currant lemonade flavor.

Taboo’s line hails from Skydrip, a vape juice manufacturer out of Los Angeles. The juices in the Taboo line are new for this year, and after vaping with Phantom by Taboo E-liquid, I think it’s safe to say that these juices, as well as the other lines from Skydrip, will most likely retain some popularity. If not for their unique flavor options, certainly for the quality of the juice.

Sucker for Badass Packaging? Yeah, So Am I

A lot of vapers will say that they aren’t sold on juices because of the packaging or the unique labels, but at the same time, there’s something to be said about a nice presentation. I admit that I was pretty taken with the design on Phantom’s box and bottle. There is a green and purple ghostly skyline in the background, and at the forefront, a phantom reminiscent of a witch doctor, complete with black feathered wings, white eyes and a mask. The branding goes across the side of the bottle vertically in a white oozy font.

But What Really Sold Me Was the Flavor

Phantom by Taboo E-Liquid is a red currant lemonade. I’ve been on a lemonade kick lately, so that was the main reason I bought this juice. I am a firm believer that some lemonade e-liquids are simply too much, but I also know that if you’re a lemonade fan, the right lemonade juice can be addicting.

I took a fresh mesh coil and let it sit for a good ten minutes until I started vaping Phantom with my SMOK Species kit. The coil I am using is the Baby V2 A1 0.17-ohm coil, which works well anywhere from 90-140W. Since I purchased a 6mg level of nicotine and the tartness of a lemonade flavor gives a stronger throat hit, I recommend this juice anywhere from 40-100W. Anything above that and the juice may be a bit much.

The flavor hit me pretty early in the game. The red currants are at the forefront of this juice, with the tangy lemonade hitting in the middle and end. The aftertaste is slightly bitter, but nothing to deter me from vaping this juice.

Is Phantom a Worthy All-Day-Vape? Finals Thoughts

I thoroughly enjoy Phantom’s flavor. With the right mod and tank combo, this juice produces some pretty thick clouds as well. It’s a 75 VG/25 PG blend, so don’t expect cloud competition level, but nonetheless, it’s satisfying. The best thing about this e-liquid is the flavor. I hesitate to call this an all-day-vape sort of juice, however. After a few hours of vaping Phantom, you’re left with a bitter aftertaste that will haunt you for a while. That being said, I do highly recommend this e-liquid as an addition to your juice arsenal in terms of quality and flavor, plus it’s hard to hate the package design.
