There aren’t a lot of coil-less tanks out there. Although there have been previous attempts at developing this sort of technology, they haven’t really caught on mostly due to the lack of consistency. Previous coil-less tank models were marred by diminishing performance and lessening flavor quality over time. But leave it to Joyetech—a company that continuously raises the bar with new tech innovations—to come up with a coil-less atomizer tank that actually does what it says it will do. Let’s take a look at four reasons why the coil-less Joyetech RFC Riftcore Duo Tank might be for you.

1. The Simplicity of the Coil-less Joyetech RFC Riftcore Duo’s RFC Heater

The Joyetech Riftcore Duo uses an RFC heater with ceramic plates in place of coils. Joyetech calls this molecular heating technology. It does conduct heat quickly, and all you need to do is install two strips of cotton in between the two heating elements on the deck, prime the cotton, and attach the tank to your mod. To keep vaping with the Riftcore is simple too, just change the cotton wicking whenever it starts to taste burnt or muddy. It does save quite a bit of money when you don’t have to purchase packs of coils for your tank, plus the simplicity of the Riftcore saves time.

2. The Longevity of the Riftcore Duo

Joyetech claims that the Riftcore Duo’s RFC heating element will last for one million puffs! If that’s the case, then it certainly isn’t a rebuildable RTA, and the Riftcore Duo should last you quite a while without you having to rebuild anything! So you don’t have to buy coils, you don’t have to rebuild the heating element until you reach the one million puff mark, and all you really have to do is buy cotton wicking and e-liquid. Sounds like a win-win that’ll save you some money.

3. The Flavor is Pure and Consistent

Since the Riftcore Duo has somewhat restrictive airflow, with three bottom airflow slots that are thinner than other tanks, it really does you a favor in terms of flavor quality. The Riftcore Duo’s suggested output is about 40W, but it’s possible to vape slightly above that with this tank. While it certainly isn’t a hot vape, it’s a flavorful one! There is something about the RFC heater, plus that more restrictive airflow, that really brings out the best in your e-liquids.

4. The Joyetech Riftcore Duo is Self-Cleaning

To clean the RFC heater on the Riftcore Duo, all you need to do is ditch your wicking and dry fire the RFC heater. Joyetech recommends doing this at 30W for about three seconds. After that, you need to let the heater cool for 10 seconds and then repeat dry firing until the heater is completely clean. The whole process should take about 30 seconds, which isn’t shabby.
